ANKARA, Feb. 4 (Xinhuanet) -- Death toll has increased to 26 and the number of the injured people risen to 31 in the eleven-storey building which collapsed in Selcuklu town of Konya province in central Turkey late on Monday.

Konya Governor Ahmet Kayhan has said that as many as 70 people might have been trapped under rubble of the collapsed building.

Meanwhile, Vedat Kaya, the contractor of the collapsed building, was captured in the southern province of Antalya on Wednesday.

Anatolia News Agency quoted local sources as saying on Wednesdaythat Vedat Kaya's older brother Sedat Kaya, who was detained earlier, helped security officials to capture him.

Sedat Kaya was released after it was revealed that he did not have any connection with the building, said the report.
