GENEVA, Feb. 3 (Xinhuanet) -- World Health Organization (WHO) officials Tuesday expressed satisfaction over the Chinese government's attitude and action in combating avian flu.

"The Chinese government is very transparent," Michael Ryan, the WHO coordinator of Global Response and Alert to Avian Flu and Other Infectious Diseases, said at a press conference.

"They are holding daily meetings of research teams and officials on the matter. Their attitude is open. They have kept keen surveillance on exposure to humans," he said.

After confirming there are no human cases infected with avian flu in China, Ryan said he was very pleased with the effective measures the Chinese government has taken. Enditem
