Bird flu suspect found in Germany: report

    BERLIN, Feb. 2 (Xinhuanet) -- A German woman was found to have similar symptoms of bird flu on Monday, local media reported.

    The woman who was just back from Thailand was took to the Institute for Tropical Medicine in Hamburg, reported news channel N-TV, citing local firemen.

    Another woman who accompanied her was also sent to the hospitalto take medical examination.

    But a Hamburg government official responsible for epidemic saidit was "very unlikely" that a tourist was infected with bird flu.

    The Robert-Koch Institute that is in charge of disease control also said a bird flu case in Germany is "very unlikely," but "not impossible." Enditem
