No reports of bird flu in India so far: officials

    NEW DELHI, Jan. 30 (Xinhuanet) -- No case of bird flu has been reported in Indian so far, officials in the Agriculture Ministry said on Friday.

    The government is collecting reports from all the states and there are no reports of any outbreak in the country, the officialssaid.

    They said that border states were taking more precautions to avert any illegal import of poultry. The central government had onThursday banned import of all poultry products.

    Officials said India had negligible import of poultry products but that too had been banned.

    Meanwhile, screening of passengers on Samjhauta Express trains from Pakistan to India was on, they said. Enditem
