JERUSALEM, Jan. 29 (Xinhuanet) -- At least three people were killed and some 40 others wounded Thursday morning in downtown Jerusalem when a blast went off on a bus near Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's official residence, sources said.

    The blast occurred on Gaza Street, about 100 meters from Sharon's residence. Sharon was believed not in the residence at the time of the explosion.

    The suicide bomb attack occurred shortly before 9:00 a.m. local time (0700 GMT). Enditem
