BEIJING, Jan. 29 (Xinhuanet) -- China has suspended the import of poultry and related products from eight countries plagued by bird flu, and the ban became effective as of Wednesday, the Ministry of Commerce said Thursday.

    The eight countries are the Republic of Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, the Laos, Pakistan and Indonesia. Enditem
