H5N1 infections in Vietnam rises to 8

    HANOI, Jan. 27 (Xinhuanet) -- The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed eight cases of H5N1 infection in humans in Vietnam, and six of those patients have died.

    Seven of the cases were children, Shigeru Omi, Director of WHO Western Pacific Region, said at a press conference on Tuesday.

    WHO expects that there might be many more cases in the country.Enditem
