20 Iranian pilgrims kidnapped in Iraq: IRNA

    TEHRAN, Jan. 26 (Xinhuanet) -- A group of 20 Iranian pilgrims were kidnapped Sunday night in Iraq near Iran's western border, the official news agency IRNA reported on Monday.

    The Iranian pilgrims were travelling inside Iraq near the borderwhen a group of armed assailants fired at their convoy and then took two cars with all their occupants to an unknown place.

    The fate of the kidnapped Iranian pilgrims was not known yet, the report said. Enditem
