GENEVA, Jan. 9 (Xinhuanet) -- The World Health Organization (WHO) on Friday made positive comments on the Chinese government's prompt action in handling the new suspected Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) case.
The Chinese government's operation is efficient, said WHO spokeswoman Fadela Chaib.
WHO is satisfied with the Chinese government's swift action in locating people who had close contact with the suspected SARS patient, taking effective measures and reporting the situation to WHO, said Chaib.
A WHO team composed of six experts has arrived in Guangzhou, insouth China. They will cooperate closely with China in searching for the cause of the new suspected case, Chaib said. Enditem |
