At least 14 killed in Philippine public market fire

    MANILA, Dec. 31 (Xinhuanet)-- A fire set off by firecrackers swept through a public market in the Philippines on Wednesday, killing at least 14 people who got trapped inside their stalls, police said.

    At least three people were missing and two others were injured in the blaze in Lucena city, about 120 kilometers southeast of the capital, police said. Enditem
