BAGHDAD, Dec. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- A US soldier was killed in a roadside bomb attack in Iraq's capital city of Baghdad on Wednesday, the US military said Thursday.

    The soldier from the 1st Armored Division was killed during an operation in Baghdad on Wednesday night, a US military spokesman said.

    The bomb explosion followed another similar attack which killedthree US soldiers in action near Samarra, 100 km north of Baghdad,early in the day.

    A total of seven US soldiers have been killed since the captureof former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein. Enditem
