SINGAPORE, Dec. 18 (Xinhuanet) - Another five persons who were in contact with the Taiwanese SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome)patient have been placed on Home Quarantine Orders (HQOs) in Singapore, bringing the total number of people on HQOs to 75, Singapore's Health Ministry said on Thursday.
The ministry said contact tracing of the Taiwanese man, who was here on Dec. 7-10, has been completed. Only five contacts are unwell so far, it said.
Although all of them have been diagnosed as non-SARS, they have been admitted to the Communicable Disease Centre "as a precautionary measure", said the Health Ministry.
The Health Ministry issued HQOs on Wednesday to 70 people who had contact with the Taiwanese man, after he was confirmed a new SARS case. Enditem
