Saddam still in Iraq: IGC member

    BAGHDAD, Dec. 15 (Xinhuanet) -- Saddam Hussein, Iraq's ousted leader captured by US forces, was still in Iraq, a member of the US-backed Iraqi Governing Council said on Monday.

    Muwafak al-Rubaie told Dubai-based al-Arabiya by telephone that the top captive will be tried before an Iraqi court, denying earlier reports that the former leader had been ferried to a US military base in Qatar. Enditem
