Concert held to mark 110th birthday of Chairman Mao

BEIJING, Nov. 28, (Xinhuanet) -- A concert was held Wednesday at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing to mark the 110th birthday of the late Chairman Mao Zedong.

The concert, titled "China Roots," staged many first-class vocalists and other performing artists from around the country.

The late Chairman Mao was born on Dec. 26th, 1893 and died in 1976.

He was the founder of the Communist Party of China, Chinese People's Liberation Army and the People's Republic of China. CRIENGLISH.com
