Urgent: Shevardnadze remains in Tbilisi: official

    TBILISI, Nov. 24 (Xinhuanet) -- Eduard Shevardnadze's press secretary said Monday that the former president of Georgia, who has been ousted from the presidency by the opposition, is staying in his residence in the capital city of Tbilisi.

    In a statement released to the press, the press secretary denied earlier reports that Shevardnadze had gone to Germany after his dramatic resignation Sunday evening amid intensified demands by protestors. More
