BAGHDAD, Nov. 22 (Xinhuanet) -- At least nine people including six Iraqi policemen were killed in a car bombing in the town of Khan Bani Saad on Saturday, US military and Iraqi police said.
A suicide bomber drove his vehicle approaching a police station in the small town, 40 km northeast of Baghdad, and detonated explosives packed in the car at the gate, said the policemen.
Six police officers and three civilians plus the driver died and ten others were injured in the blast, they added.
Earlier, another car bomb exploded outside a police station in Baquba, 60 km north of Baghdad, killing six people and wounding more than 10 others.
The pair of attacks were conducted after two car bombings targeting Iraqi supporters of the US-led coalition rocked the country in previous days.
A suicide car bombing took place near the office of a US-allied Kurdish party in northern city of Kirkuk on Thursday, killing five Iraqis.
Late Wednesday, a car packed with explosives was detonated near the office of a local tribal leader and city council member in Ramadi, 100 km west of Baghdad, killing at least two people. Enditem
