Beijing, Nov. 21, (Xinhuanet) --
After surrendering her title of most infamous sex tape star in town to Paris
Hilton last week, Pamela Anderson needed a new
gig.
While
clothing might not be the first thing that jumps to mind when one thinks of
Anderson, the actress has signed on as co-designer and creative controller of
her own line.
"The Pamela Collection," a new line of products
including jeans, T-shirts, sweaters, jewelry, lingerie and fragrance is slated
for a February debut in Las Vegas, where the curvaceous Baywatch alum intends to
meet with buyers and retailers.
According to the buxom blonde, her clothes are "fun,
sexy and super comfortable for the every woman."
The Stripperella star signed a worldwide deal with
United Licensing Group, headed by Jimmy Esebag who helped license the Playboy
name.
"I want to make sure it's affordable and available,"
Anderson said of her line. "I can't wait for it to come out so I can get the
clothes for myself and my friends. It's been a lot of work."
Anderson is the latest addition to the club of
A-listers who have their own clothing line. Other celeb couture hawkers include
P. Diddy, J.Lo, Eve and Nelly.
The actress recently appeared on the big screen in a
cameo role as a Catholic school girl in Scary Movie 3, in which she spoofed her
own infamous sex tape saga with ex-hubby Tommy Lee.
Other Pam projects in the works include her topless
radio show, Club Pam, broadcast Friday nights on Sirius satellite radio. She's
also penning two novels for Atria books; the first From the Waist Up is due out
in 2004.
Anderson created ripples recently when she announced
that she believed the hepatitis C from which she suffers would kill her within
10 years.
"I think I got a good 10 years left in me, which is
sad, too," Anderson told Us Weekly. "Maybe 15, if I'm lucky."
The actress called off her engagement to Kid Rock
this fall, and has been seen canoodling recently with Lee, about whom she said,
"We're crazy about each other--always have been, always will be."
Meanwhile, Lee insists that his ex was just fooling
around when she announced her shortened life expectancy.
"She was joking. Somebody asked her how she's doing
or how she's feeling and she goes 'I got a good five or 10 in me,'" Lee told
IMDB.com. "And it was just a joke...It's kinda crazy. She was kidding. She was
totally kidding. She's fine." Enditem
