ISLAMABAD, Nov. 20 (Xinhuanet) -- The Pakistani government on Thursday banned three more extremist organizations.
The organizations are Jamiat-ul-Ansar, Hizb-ul-Tahreer and Jamat-ul-Furqan, according to a report of the official news agency Associated Press of Pakistan (APP).
The Pakistani Interior Ministry told the APP that the outfits had been proscribed under powers conferred by the Anti Terrorism Act.
Pakistan had already banned three religious groups under the 1997's Anti-Terrorist Act last Saturday. Enditem |
