Israeli troops detain Palestinian militant leader

   GAZA, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- Israeli army forces raided the West Bank town of Tulkarem before dawn Monday and detained three Palestinians, including a leader of the Popular Front for theLiberation of Palestine (PFLP), Palestinian security sources said.

   Nayef Jaradat, a well-known leader of the PFLP political bureauin Tulkarem and in the West Bank, was arrested by the Israelisoldiers, the sources said.

   Two other Palestinians, one of them a militant from the Al AqsaMartyrs Brigades, the armed wing of Fatah movement, were alsodetained by the Israeli troops, they said.

   The three Palestinians were taken to an Israeli army base forinterrogation after the Israeli soldiers found a hunting rifle atthe PFLP official's home, the sources said.  Enditem
