Cambodia's 3 major parties begin talks to solve political deadlock

ˇˇˇˇPHNOM PENH, Nov. 5 (Xinhuanet)-- Leaders of the three major parties of Cambodia began their first talks on Wednesday at a callby King Norodom Sihanouk, aiming to break the protracted politicaldeadlock since the July general election.

ˇˇˇˇThe talks, chaired by King Sihanouk, is taking place inside theRoyal Palace, with the attendance of Chea Sim and Hun Sen, leadersof the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP); Prince Norodom Ranariddh, leader of the royalist FUNCINPEC party; and Sam Rainsy,leader of the party named after himself.
