Sri lanka deploys troops to state TV, radio stations

    COLOMBO, Nov. 4 (Xinhuanet) -- Sri Lanka sent troops to state TV and radio stations and a major power plant Tuesday after the president sacked three ministers.

    An army spokesman said that the troops were deployed to maintain law and order.

    The ministers of defense, police and media were sacked by President Chandrika Kumaratunga earlier in the day. Enditem
