MOSCOW, Nov. 3 (Xinhuanet) -- Mikhail Khodorkovsky, the head of Russia's largest oil producer Yukos and the richest man in Russia,said Monday that he has resigned as chief executive officer of the company.
"I am leaving the company," the Interfax quoted a statement from him as saying.
The announcement came days after Khodorkovsky was arrested on charges of fraud, tax evasion and five other offenses.
Last month, Yukos completed its merger deal with Sibneft, another Russian oil company, to create the world's fourth largest oil producer. Enditem
