At least 10 injured in explosion at police station in Baghdad

  BAGHDAD, Oct. 27 (Xinhuanet) -- Ten people were injured in an explosion near a police station in western Baghdad early Monday.

  A Xinhua correspondent at the scene said seven of the wounded were policemen, two of them in serious condition, in the blast, which went off around 9:05 (0605 GMT) near the police station of Hadra district.

  Five cars were seen smoldering in flames and houses nearby weredefaced, windows shattered.

  It was the third explosion on Monday following two previous ones that rocked an office of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Industry Ministry. Enditem
