NEW DELHI, Oct. 17 (Xinhuanet) -- Two soldiers of the border security force
were killed in a exchange of fire with militants near the residence of Jammu and
Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on Friday.
According to the Press Trust of India, militants hurled a grenade at the
newly-constructed residence at high-security Maulana Azad road in Srinagar at
around 10 a.m., and the chief minister was not in the house at the time of the
attack.
The report added that security guards at the chief minister's residence
immediately retaliated. Two soldiers were killed, at least seven people were
injured in the attack, including three soldiers and four civilians. Enditem
