their front-page editorials to the success of China's first manned space flight.
Macao Daily News, the largest newspaper in China's Macao Special
Administrative Region (SAR), noted that the launch of the spacecraft, made by
China itself and piloted by its home-trained astronaut, represented a big stride
in the country's efforts in surmounting the world peak of science and
technology, and a new milestone in the history of astrology.
The editorial extended its warm congratulations and lofty respect to all
those who have made contributions to the aerospace undertakings.
The successful launch of the manned spacecraft would surely serve as a
great encouragement for Chinese people in constructing an all-around better-off
society, it said.
