¡¡¡¡MOSCOW, Oct. 15 (Xinhuanet) -- A Russian submarine fired a ballistic missile on Wednesday from the country's northwestern White Sea to fulfill a combat training plan, Interfax reported.

¡¡¡¡The ballistic missile blasted off from the nuclear underwater cruiser Arkhangelsk of the Northern Fleet at 2:00 p.m. Moscow time,said Captain Igor Dygalo, aide to the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy.

¡¡¡¡The warhead of the missile successfully hit the planned target at the Kura testing ground in the Kamchatka Peninsular in Russia's Far East.
