FIFA announces All-Star team of Women's Soccer World Cup

  LONG BEACH, United States, Oct. 8 (Xinhuanet) -- FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter on Wednesday announced the All-Star team of the fourth Women's World Cup soccer tournament in Long Beach, California.

  The team, including 11 starters and five substitutes, was selected by the FIFA Technical Study Group.

  Starters

  Goalkeeper: Silke Rottenberg (Germany)

  Defenders: Liping Wang (China), Joy Fawcett (United States), Hooper Charmaine (Canada), Minnert Sandra (Germany)

  Midfielders: Wiegmann Bettina (Germany), Mostroem Malin (Sweden), Boxx Shannon (United States), Maren Meinert (Germany)

  Forwards: Prinz Birgit (Germany), Svensson Victoria (Sweden)

  

  Substitutes

  Goalkeeper: Caroline Joensson (Sweden)

  Midfielders: Solveig Gulbrandsen (Norway), Marta (Brazil)
