Prominent Iraqi Shiite escapes assassination attempt

  BAGHDAD, Sept. 29 (Xinhuanet) -- A prominent Iraqi Shiite, member of the constitutional preparatory committee, has escaped an assassination attack, sources from the Iraqi Governing Council said Monday.
