Strong earthquakes hit north Japan

¡¡¡¡TOKYO, Sept. 29 (Xinhuanet) -- An earthquake measuring 6.5 at Richter scale hit Kushiro in north Japan's Hokkaido Prefecture at 11:37 a.m. (0237 GMT) Monday, according to a local meteorological observatory.

¡¡¡¡The area was hit by two strong quakes, including one measuring 8.0 at Richter scale, last Friday and aftershocks have been continuing. Enditem
