M5.2 earthquake hits northern Japan

  TOKYO, Sept. 27 (Xinhuanet) -- An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale hit Japan's northern prefecture of Hokkaido Saturdayat around 5:06 p.m. (0806 GMT), said the NHK television.

  The NHK said there was no immediate report of casualty.

  A series of powerful earthquakes jolted the area Friday, with the biggest measuring 8.0 on the Richter scale. More than 400 people were injured and two were missing.

  A 61-year-old man was hit and killed by a car when cleaning up debris. Enditem
