¡¡¡¡LOS ANGELES, Sept. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- China women's soccer team head coach Ma Liangxing said here on Thursday that the Steel Roses can beat Russia in their last Group D game to qualify for the World Cup quarter-finals.

¡¡¡¡"Everyone in the squad is confident that we can beat Russia to qualify as the group leader," Ma said after his team drew Australia 1-1 at the Home Depot Center in Carson.

¡¡¡¡China, who struggled in the first half, controlled the game in the second but failed to convert a great number of chances to goals.

¡¡¡¡"I told the players after the first half that they must try their best," Ma said.
