Number of injured in Japan's earthquake rising to 479

  TOKYO, Sept. 26 (Xinhuanet) -- The number of people injured in Friday's two powerful earthquakes in northern Japan's Hokkaido Prefecture has increased to 479, NHK television reported.

  One the earthquakes, measuring 8.0 on the Richter scale, took place at around 4:50 a.m. (1950 GMT), with the epicenter at 80 kilometers off Cape Erimo in Hokkaido Prefecture.

  A 61-year-old man was hit and killed by a car in the quake. Enditem
