One killed, 278 injured in Japan's earthquake

  TOKYO, Sept. 26 (Xinhuanet) -- The number of people injured in Friday's two earthquakes in northern Japan's Hokkaido Prefecture has reached 278, said Kyodo News.

  One of the earthquakes, measuring 8.0 on the Richter scale, took place at around 4:50 a.m.(1950 GMT), with the epicenter at 80kilometers off Cape Erimo in Hokkaido Prefecture.

  A 61-year-old man was hit and killed by a car in the quake. Enditem
