Japan's biggest department store opens in Nagoya

  TOKYO, Sept. 18 (Xinhuanet) -- Matsuzakaya Co., Japan's fifth-largest department store chain, opened Japan's biggest department store Thursday in Nagoya with a new floor added to its flagship main store.

  According to Matsuzakaya Co., the Nagoya outlet has a total shopping floor of 86,747 square meters, making it bigger than Tobu Department Store Co.'s main store in Tokyo with 82,963 square meters.

  The total floor space is about 1.8 times as big as Tokyo Dome, one of Tokyo's main baseball stadiums.

  The Nagoya-based store chain said it expects sales of 140 billion yen (1.2 billion US dollars) at its Nagoya store for the year to next February. Enditem
