3 killed in fire in northeast India

  NEW DELHI, Sept. 17 (Xinhuanet) -- Three persons were killed and another suffered serious injury at Andhamnik village in West Bengal, northeast India when a stock of gunpowder caught fire at a house Wednesday, according to the Press Trust of India.

  PTI said that the gunpowder, kept at the house of a local resident who runs a business of manufacturing firework, exploded when a fire broke out in the house.

  Three persons were killed as they were trapped in the house. The charred bodies were recovered from the house.

  Another person who suffered serious injury in the fire was admitted to hospital, said PTI. Enditem
