JAKARTA, Sept. 16 (Xinhuanet) -- Indonesian police have uncovered the organizational
structure of terror group Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) from computer
documents owned by Bali bombing convict Imam Samudera, an officer said Tuesday.
Head of Central Java Police Didi Widayadi said the evidence was found after police
translated the Arabic-language documents with a help from language experts
at the Indonesian Ulemas Council (MUI) and Wali Songo State Islamic University
in Semarang, Central Java.
"The documents are in Arabic language and they need language experts to translate
them to avoid misperception," Didi was quoted by Detikcom online news
service as saying.
He said the translation work has not been fully completed, adding that at
least 16 documents are being translated, some of them contain General Guidelines
for Jemaah Islamiyah Struggle (PUPJI).
Samudra was the second key suspect in the Bali bombings who gets death conviction
for the last October attacks that killed 202 people.
He is regarded as a computer expert who always brought
a laptop prior to his arrest in November last year. Police said they found many
clues from Samudra's laptop that help the investigation. Enditem
