TOKYO, Sept. 15 (Xinhuanet) -- Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi has
decided to dissolve the House of Representatives in October to hold a general
election in November.
The move came after it became certain that he will be reelected in
Saturday's presidential election of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP),
senior LDP members said Monday.
The premier is expected to dissolve the lower house right afterhe gains parliament
approval for revision of the antiterrorism law at the extraordinary
parliament session to be convened on Sept. 26,the executives said.
At the earliest, the dissolution will come on Oct. 10 and the voting on
Nov. 9, they added.
Analysts said recent upward trends in the cabinet
approval rateand various economic indicators are behind the premier's
