GAZA, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- They can kill me by bombs, but they
can never get me out of Ramallah, Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat said
Thursday, referring to an Israeli decision to expel him.
Israel's security cabinet on Thursday evening agreed in principle to
expel Arafat and ask Israel Defense Forces to draw up a plan for Arafat's
exile.
Speaking to thousands of supporters who gathered at his
headquarters in Ramallah via a megaphone, Arafat said their coming and their
protests "can talk and struggle for their freedom."
"We are telling the world that this people are toughest people
that never get afraid and will never kneel," said Arafat.
"I tell the Israeli government," he said while pointing to the
large crowd of supporters, "This is the Palestinian answer to you decision to
deport me."
Huge demonstrations were held in most of the occupied Palestinian territories
on Thursday, especially in the West Bank towns of Tulkarem
and Ramallah, as well as Gaza City and the southern Gaza Strip town of
Khan Younis. Enditem
