GAZA, Sept. 9 (Xinhuanet) -- Israeli troops stationed near Karni  commercial passage east of Gaza City shot dead a PalestinianTuesday, Israel Radio said.

    The Palestinian was suspected to be a militant and wanted tocarry out armed attacks against Israeli soldiers.The radio quoted Israeli army sources as saying that the manwearing a helmet approached the outpost near the borders withIsrael in an attempt to attack.
