Sept. 11, 2001 - a painful memory

    Terrorists launched unprecedented attacks on New York City and Washington D.C. on Sept. 11, 2001. The twin towers of World Trade Center in New York collapsed over one hour after two planes were hijacked and flown into them, followed by another hijacked plane which carshed into the Pentagon. A fourth plane that was hijacked crashed in a wooded area in Pennsylvania.
