¡¡¡¡PYONGYANG, July 11 (Xinhuanet) -- The Democratic People's Republicof Korea
(DPRK) canceled on Friday a quarantine against Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome
(SARS) for passengers to the country.
¡¡¡¡According to a note issued by the Foreign Ministry to all foreign embassies
and international agencies based in Pyongyang, the DPRK abolished the 10-day
quarantine since Friday.
¡¡¡¡However, all passengers to the DPRK are still obliged to receive medical
examinations, and those who have a temperature over 37 Celsius degrees or
suspected symptoms will be repatriated or sent to relevant hospitals for
treatment, the note said.
¡¡¡¡The DPRK adopted a 10-day medical isolation since late April toprevent the
import of SARS virus to the country.
¡¡¡¡The DPRK has reported no SARS cases up to now.
¡¡¡¡The international train from Beijing to Pyongyang resumed service
Wednesday. The DPRK's national air company Koyro Airlines resumed its flight
from Pyongyang to Beijing on Thursday. Enditem
