BEIJING, July 7 (Xinhuanet) -- Floods, landslide and mudslide disaster alerts are in effect for central and southwest China's provinces, as torrential rains are forecast for the areas from Monday night to Tuesday.

　　The affected areas are southwest China's Sichuan and Guizhou provinces and Chongqing Municipal City and central China's Hubei, Hunan and Henan provinces, according to the Central Meteorological Station.

　　Parts of the areas will see thunderstorms accompanied by gale-force winds or hail due to the interaction between strong, warm air flows and cold air currents, the forecast said.
