Vice-premier calls for intensified fight against flood

  BEIJING, July 7 (Xinhuanet) -- Vice-Premier Hui Liangyu has required all Party committees and governments at all levels to fight against the floods in the Huaihe River to protect people's livies and maintain social stability.

  Local governments must guarantee food, accommodation and medical service for the people affected by the floods, said Hui, who inspected the anti-flood campaign in east China's Anhui Province on Saturday and Sunday.

  All the Party committees and local governments must seriously implement the "Three Represents" thought and keep alert to floods,he said.

  Chief leaders at all levels must go to the front line of the fight, said he. Enditem
