Chinese premier ends HK visit

””””HONG KONG, July 1 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao left Hong Kong Tuesday morning after his three-day visit during which he attended activities marking the 6th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland.

””””The Premier was seen off by Hong Kong Chief Executive Tung CheeHwa and other officials at the hotel where he stayed.

””””On his way back, the Premier visited the Tai Po Science Park.

””””On June 29 after arriving here, Wen attended the signing ceremony of the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA), the first trade pact between the Mainland and Hong Kong.

””””On June 30, he met Hong Kong health workers and people from allwalks of life to commend their success in the fight against severeacute respiratory syndrome (SARS).

””””Wen toured the Amoy Gardens and the Prince of Wales Hospital, where SARS took its toll. Also he inspected major infrastructure construction projects and the Hong Kong Exchange and Clearing Limited.
