HONG KONG, July 1 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao attended a flag raising ceremony here early Tuesday morning marking the sixth anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland.

　　In the company of Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), Wen came to the seafrontof the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center Extension where the handover rites were held six years ago.

　　The five-star red flag of the People's Republic of China and the bauhinia flag of the Hong Kong SAR were hoisted amid the playing of the Chinese national anthem.
