  The United Nations Security Council passed resolution 1483 on May 22, 2003, ending 13 years of economic sanctions on Iraq, resuming common trade activities except arms and related materials. According to the resolution, China has resumed its normal trade with Iraq.

  But the situation in Iraq is still unstable and people there are not assured of their safety. China¨s diplomatic office in Iraq hasn¨t resumed its normal operation. The Ministry of Commerce calls attention of the Chinese in economic and trade in Iraq to be careful, keep a close lookout for any risk while trading with Iraq and pay attention to collect foreign exchange safely.
