Temporary Rules of Safeguard
Mechanism Products Range Adjustment Process was put into effect on January 1,
2003. On the same day, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation
(MOFTEC) announced in its Notice No. 2, 2003 that related interested parties of
some imported steel products safeguard mechanism case in China could submit an
application to MOFTEC for adjusting the range of safeguard mechanism products
during Jan. 13 to Mar. 13, 2003.
On the basis of investigation and
examination of the material provided by the applicant, the Ministry of Commerce
will not levy additional customs to some products of final safeguard mechanism
as of May 24, 2003 after arrival of quota. Enditem
