The Ministry of Foreign Trade and
Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC) announced on Mar.23, 2002 in its notice that China
would make anti-dumping probe into the import of cold-rolled steel plate
originally produced in Russia, the Republic of Korea, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and as
well as the Taiwan area. The product-investigated is listed as
72091500、72091600、72091700、72091800、72092500、72092600、72092700、72092800、72099000、72112300、72112900、72119000
in the Custom Import Tariff of the Peoples Republic of China, but cold-rolled
steel plate used to make tinplate listed under 72091800 is not included.
Since this case is special and the situation in it is complicated,
MOFTEC decided under Article 26 of the "Antidumping Rules of the Peoples
Republic of China" that the investigation on this case will be prolonged for
another 6 months up to Sep. 23, 2003. Enditem
