The China International travel Service (CITS) was founded in
1954,serving as the largest comprehensive travel agency in China. It has
enterprises under its direct administration, of which 12 are distributed in the
United States, Japan, France, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Canada, Australia and
Hong Kong in addition, the CITS Group has 160 membership enterprises
nationwide.
Taking travel as its mainstay, CITS Head Office has
developed into a multifunctional enterprise, dealing in tourism investment,
aviation, satellite communications, computerized reservation, hotel management,
insurance and tourism infrastructure construction.
For decades, It has sustained a high reputation in the
international tourism marker, fully demonstrating its role as a leading
enterprise in China's tourism industry.

Established in 1949, China Travel Service was the first tour
operator of new China. As the head enterprise among China Travel Service in the
whole country, China Travel Service Head Office gradually developed from a
travel service whose main business focused on overseas Chinese, Chinese with
foreign nationalities, Chinese from Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan to a travel
service whose business consists of inbound tourism, outbound tourism, and
domestic tourism hundred thousands tourists from domestic or foreign countries.
It has joined China Travel Association, PATA, USTOA, IATA, ASTA and became a
full member of these associations. It has established close cooperative
relations with hundreds of travel service providers of main tourism countries in
the world, and enjoyed excellent prestige and reputation.
