¡¡¡¡SEOUL, Feb. 15 (Xinhuanet) -- Some one thousand people staged a protest against war in the South Korean capital Saturday afternoon to express their hope of peaceful solution of Iraq issue.

¡¡¡¡The protesters, mainly consisting of South Korean university students and activists, gathered in a park with posters and banners reading "Stop the War," "No to US War," "Do not Attack Iraq."

¡¡¡¡A lot of foreigners also joined the demonstration against the possible US attack on Iraq. A Canadian man who is teaching Englishin the country told Xinhua: "I dot not agree with Bush's policy onIraq ... A friend of mine who is from America also opposes it."

¡¡¡¡Demonstrators from Egypt, Bangladesh and the Philippines also participated in the rally and shouted loud against any war in the world.

¡¡¡¡Some university students also played short dramas to lampoon high ranking officials in the US administration and British Prime Minister Tony Blair. Enditem
